Advanced Brentwood Insulation Company, brentwoodinsulation.com, projects@brentwoodinsulation.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Advanced Brentwood Insulation Company website and any estimate, scheduling or insulation work you arrange with us. By using the site or booking work with us, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work through it.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Advanced Brentwood Insulation Company. "You" means the person using the site or the homeowner or property owner we're working for.

What we do

We're an insulation contractor in Brentwood, CA, and we work in homes and businesses in Brentwood and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall, crawl space and basement insulation, blown-in insulation, spray foam, air sealing, vapor barriers and insulation removal. The services and cities listed on our home page are the ones we describe on this site, and you can read more about who we are on our About page.

Information on this site is general. It explains how insulation work usually goes, but it isn't a plan for your house. The scope of your job is set in your written estimate after we've looked at the space.

Estimates and pricing

We give free on-site estimates, and there's no pressure to book. We come out first because the price depends on things we can only see in person, such as how much old insulation is up there, its condition, how easy the attic or crawl space is to reach and how much air sealing it needs.

Your written estimate lists the work and the price, and it's the price we agree to. If we open up the space and find something the estimate didn't cover, like wet or contaminated material that has to come out first, we'll stop and talk with you before doing extra work. We won't charge for added work you haven't approved.

An estimate stays open for the period written on it. After that, material prices may have changed, so we may need to update it before we schedule.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delays or a crew member falling ill can push a date back, and if that happens we'll call you as soon as we know and set a new one.

On the day of the job, you agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to let us know about anything we should watch for, such as pets, wiring problems you're aware of or items stored in the attic. Some products, spray foam in particular, need you and your household to stay out of the house for a set time while they cure. We'll tell you before the job when you need to leave and when it's safe to come back, and you agree to follow that guidance.

If you need to cancel or move your appointment, please call us as early as you can. If materials have already been ordered for your job, your written estimate will say whether any of that cost is owed if you cancel.

Payment

Payment is due as set out in your written estimate or invoice. If your estimate calls for a deposit, we schedule the work once it's paid, and the balance is due when the job is finished unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.

If a payment is late, we'll reach out to sort it out with you first. Unpaid balances may be referred for collection as California law allows.

Our guarantee and warranty disclaimers

Advanced Brentwood Insulation Company is licensed and insured, and your satisfaction is guaranteed. If something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it.

Insulation, foam and barrier products carry their makers' warranties, which we'll pass along to you where they apply. Apart from our guarantee and any written warranty we give you, the website and its content are provided as they are, without other warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage caused by things outside our work, such as roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, later work by other trades or changes made to the area after we finish.

Limitation of liability

To the extent California law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses tied to your use of this website or our services, such as lost use of a room or energy savings you expected but didn't see. Results on your power bill depend on many things beyond insulation, so we don't promise a specific saving.

Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Resolving disputes

If you have a problem with our work or a bill, please call us at (925) 503-1068 or reach us through our Contact page first. Most problems get fixed faster with a phone call and a visit than any other way, and we'd rather hear about it than have you sit on it.

If we can't settle a dispute together, either of us may take it to the state or federal courts in Contra Costa County, California, or to small claims court where the claim qualifies.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a written estimate or contract you've already signed with us, which keeps the terms it was signed under.

If a part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Questions about these terms

If anything here is unclear, call us at (925) 503-1068 or send a message through our Contact page. We reply within 1 business day.
